I'm not angry. Just dissapointed.

Feeling:
disappointed
If you've been around me for more than five minutes, you probably know that I *hate* Twilight. It doesn't annoy me, I'm not mildly irritated by it, I hate it. However, for some reason, a lot of people assume that since I'm a girl/a geek/like monster movies/some other innocuous thing, I'm either in denial or I just don't like it because it's popular. WHAT?
First of all, I'm actually not one to dislike something strictly based on the fact that other people like it. You know what? I love Bleach. I reeeeeally dislike the majority of the fandom, but that doesn't change the fact that I can empathize with the characters, and that Tite Kubo draws the most gorgeous clothes ever. BUT. If Bleach was an awful piece of dreck, with one-dimensional characters, the worst published grammar EVER, and Kubo had some horrible rape/domestic violence-fantasy, of course I wouldn't like it.
The main reason I hate it? Twilight is the cancer that's killing literature. Granted, I hope some little girl reads it and, realizing Sephenie Meyer (or however you spell her special snowflake name) is a hack writer with a limited vocabulary, realizes that she can become a published writer, too. But I'm sick of people comparing it to Harry Potter or the Tolkien books. Yes, Harry Potter's kind of for kids, but you know what? J.K. ROWLING CAN WRITE. Very well, in fact.
I feel like it's doing the same to movies. I admit, I'm kind of a film nerd. So when awful poo-stained-celluloid (I know, not anymore...) like this is winning awards and breaking box office records, it makes me a little sick. Honestly, the only actor in the movies I have any problem with is Kristen Stewart, and that's partially because I'm afraid she's going to eat her own mouth. (I think Ashley Greene is adorable, and I love that Robert Pattinson is afraid his fangirls are going to give him AIDS.)
Finally, I LIKE REAL VAMPIRES. Oh, you only see humans as a food source, sunlight burns your skin, and you can't eat Italian food? ILU. True Fax: Before I got Momo, I was thinking about bunny names. One bunny I was looking at was a little black & white male lop, and I was going to name him either Vincent (Price) or Bela (Lugosi). After thinking for a while, I realized I could never name him Bela, because I knew that every time someone asked about his name, it would be greeted with either an earsplitting squeal or a derisive sneer. One more thing: TWITARDS, GTFO MY COMIC CON. Seriously. I don't think I can go back to SDCC until this sad, smelly storm is over. TT-TT
So my solution to this? Read books by Chuck Palahniuk or Nick Hornby and watch the movies made out of those, and familiarize yourself with Christopher Lee's movies with Hammer. And don't be stupid.

FEAR NOT. I HAVE NOT DIED.
Nov. 30th, 2009 | 10:21 am
I am in: the stuffiest computer lab EVER.
Feeling:
tired
I just realized it's been 15 WEEKS since I posted an entry... >3<
This semester has gone by waaay too fast, and I've figured out that I have 3 semesters left of college. WHAT. This is really not okay. I don't feel like I should be anywhere near graduating...
I also had a job for a week. 1 week. Seriously. Well, I guess I technically still have it, I just haven't been called in to work for a month, now. WTF. Oh, well. I got 1 paycheck, and that's more than I had before. I'm thinking about applying to Gigi's once they get closer to opening.
My lolita wardrobe is also slowly growing, thanks to both an influx of money, and my Clothing class. FRENCH SEAMS, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE.
It was also really nice to meet everyone that friended me after the AWA tea party! The tea itself was a lot of fun, and I think we lucked out with a good table.
So, there. Time for class.

Living alone is the best idea EVER.
Aug. 15th, 2009 | 02:53 pm
I am in: my new living room
Feeling:
content
I was a little paranoid about living by myself, but after about two weeks of it, I don't know why I ever had roommates in the first place. I can pretty much do whatever, whenever I feel like it. As Taco put it, I have a "walk-through apartment," since it's basically a big circle.

I HAET MOVING. KIND OF.
Jul. 17th, 2009 | 05:22 pm
Feeling:
blah
So I have two weeks to pack everything in my room, and instead, I'm updating my LJ. THIS MAKES PERFECT SENSE.
A lot has happened since I posted last... (いろ、いろ。。。XD)I now have a bunny named Momo, who likes to lick peoples feet and pee on the back of my couch. I seriously have to litter-train her before I get my new furniture.
I'm relearning how to crochet so I can make amigurumi... My fingers hurt... TT-TT
I've also decided what my next few cosplays will be.

The gijinka form of Paras. I don't really like a lot of bug Pokémon, but I love Paras! It's so cute~

Mizore Shirayuki from Rosario+Vampire. I'm almost done with the 2nd season of this show, and it's so ridiculous... I'm going to have to lengthen her skirt a little, to avoid the pantyshots that run rampant in this series.
I really want to be in my new apartment, but without all this awful packing... DX

FIRST POST IN FOREVER. D8
May. 25th, 2009 | 01:29 pm
Feeling:
apathetic
Listening to: バンザイ- Kaela Kimura
So, I realized I haven't posted in, like, almost a month... I guess the combination of end-of-semester and summer classes isn't too conducive to keeping up with my precious LJ.
I would also like to say that VH1 is slowly depleting the amount that I want to see Anvil! by advertising it ALL THE TIME. Video Hits 1, you are ruining metal movies for me...

So Twitter...
Apr. 11th, 2009 | 01:32 pm
There's this Twitter thing the kids are talking about... I finally got one. Is it a bad thing that the deciding factor on whether or not I Tweet was the fact that Jeph from QC was dedicated enough to make a TwitterPage for each of his characters?
Also, I feel like a total nerd for following Gerard Way... TT-TT

I'm used to going out at 3am and doing something stupid.
Mar. 7th, 2009 | 05:32 pm
Feeling:
content
Listening to: Don't know, but definitely not "Hallelujah"
I've decided that I forgive Patrick Wilson for trying to rape Ellen Page that one time, because, now, he's chubby, nerdy Batman.
And I can never watch Princess Mononoke again without thinking, "I've seen you naked, Ashitaka. And it's blue."
Also, Jackie Earle Haley is a tiny, awesome man, and possibly God.

So, I have a question...
Feb. 24th, 2009 | 04:06 pm
I am in: home
Feeling:
bored
Listening to: Ray-J pretending he's actually interested in these women...
After going around on some sites, I've come to the decision that I need some moneys. Sadly, the majority of the stores in Murfreesboro disagree. So, since I apparently can't get a job for the time being, I've decided I should start selling some handmade jewelry and accessories (and maybe take some commissions for skirts and the like) on LJ.
However, I'd hate to make all of this stuff, just to realize that no one wants to buy any of it. So, if you care to read this, what do you think? There's some photos of stuff I've made on my Poupeé, if you'd like to see it. Thanks to anyone who would want to help me out, and get some cute stuff in return!!

Eventful week is.... something.
Jan. 30th, 2009 | 08:27 pm
I am in: Jamie, David, & Fallon's apartment
Feeling:
exhausted
Listening to: Weeds
So, after being with out my computer for a week, I finally got it out of the shop. I HAVE CONSTANT POUPEÉ ACCESS AGAIN.
And, according to an extremely short quiz, I can read hiragana. Not translate, but still read.
Also, bangs. I has them. Like, Chan Marshall bangs. <3
And I have a new jsk that's about halfway done.

A weeaboo is me.
Jan. 16th, 2009 | 02:19 pm
Feeling:
cheerful
So I just had my first elementary Japanese class. Call me a nerd, a weeaboo, or whatever. I liked it. Actually, I am officially a complete tard for this class. It's really weird being in a situation where I'm actually supposed to say 'rorita.' (I was talking to a girl in my class, not announcing to the entire group about my rufflebutt.)

Expensive loli is expensive...
Jan. 14th, 2009 | 06:31 pm
Feeling:
excited
So I just made my first brand (kind of) purchase!!! When I found out the Bodyline Fruits Parlor skirts were only $22, the proverbial sh*t was flipped... I've really wanted the red/pink pattern since I saw it in a bible photo spread, and I was so paranoid BL was going to sell out! So, despite being a little unhappy about the $25 in shipping, it should be here in a few days, and I'm so excited!

I finished my petticoat!!!! Now, I can be poofy, too!
Also finished a gray tiered skirt with detachable bows.
AMBITION. I HAS IT.

RAWRGH.
Nov. 8th, 2008 | 04:18 pm
I am in: living room
Feeling:
effing FREEZING.
Listening to: Souped-Up Vinyl - Big D and the Kids' Table
So I tried to pin-curl my hair for the second time today. And for the second time, I resembled a *certain* graphic design staff member just a little too strongly for my liking. I'm just going to have to break down and buy a curling iron...
I'm also trying to figure out if something else needs to be added to the jsk I made before I declare it finished.

PROCRASTINATION.
Nov. 6th, 2008 | 10:10 am
I am in: my room
Feeling:
excited
I really should either be getting ready for school, or writing my speech I have to give tomorrow.... I should have gone with "No tax exemption for scientology" instead of "MusicFundingRawr." (This may or may not be the actual title of the speech...)
In my attempt to stave off any actual work, I spent yesterday cutting out pieces for a blouse I'm making... and baked gingerbread cookies. From scratch.
I should get to work.
EDIT: (Not that anyone would ever actually care...) My class got canceled, so I don't have to give my speech until the make-up day!!!

Trying this again!
Nov. 3rd, 2008 | 01:00 pm
I am in: Murfreesboro
Feeling:
creative
Listening to: Whale of a Tale - Kirk Douglas
I had the LJ *years* ago.... but I just never did anything with it. I thought it was about time I tried it again, and actually tried to keep it up.
